Brisbane Drupal Meetup - Nov 08
Cafe 26 was indeed the ideal location for this Drupal Meetup. Josh's recommendation of Waygu steak was well received and a fair few of us tucked into our sumptuous meals alongside some easy conversation. :)
By the time 7pm rolled we were a group of 7 and the presentation was soon underway. There was a slight change in plan with Jeff and Josh doing a presentation on Views 2 with arguments for Drupal 6 (instead of Views 1 for D5). The presentation was brilliant (even if I say so myself) and I'm sure each of us came away with something new to try or discovering a feature that will benefit our web development for our clients. I really enjoyed hearing more and learning more about the Validation section of Views 2. It seems that Views 2 has certainly made things a lot smoother -- I also like how they have made it easier to handle multiple pages from the same view. All very exciting!!
We had a small break in the middle with coffee, tea and cokes being ordered and of course, the lure of Christmas loot was not forgotten and Drupal Gingerbread men (handbaked and decorated in the Marmaladesoul kitchen) and Christmas chocolates were devoured by all.
We wrapped up at 8.30pm so that we could chat about some of the Drupal issues we may be personally experiencing and this was a great and valuable time sharing together. It was fantastic seeing the various strengths in people's Drupal skills being shared so openly and to see the whole ethos of opensource so heartily embraced by all.
We have a really fantastic group growing here in Brisbane so if you haven't been along as yet, feel free to join us and meet some amazing people!
Looking forward to seeing you in January and the whole team at Marmaladesoul wishes you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!

It is very interesting to find out about the life of Drupal developers and users. I like Drupal a lot. I've found lots of books at rapidshare SE http://rapidpedia.com . I believe Drupal is the best. It is developed and improved every day and no one competitor can catch up ith it.

The big problem is that I found out that it will not include Drupal in Fantastico. This is a huge problem because my site is on Drupal. Do you have any idea if and when Drupal will return to Fantastico?jouer aux casinos gratuits
